Tex-Edit Plus for Mac

won't run on Mac OS Monterey - please update!

Great and simple

I can only concur with the gratitude extended toward Tom (developer) for the many years of service to the Mac community. There is to my knowledge no thing like Tex-Edit Plus, nothing to truly replace it, and so I still resist moving beyond 10.13* due to the auspicious and awesome presence of TE+ in almost all my long established workflows. The script-ability plays a (perhaps *the*) major role in setting TE+ apart from other players; at one point I had to trim the script folder regularly, or TE+ would not load it upon launch... Later on that ceased to be an issue, but I still tend to loose track of useful scripts which I either recorded or stitched together from authors of far superior expertise. The one application I payed for several times, just *because*...! I refuse to miss it; sorry Mo' jove, Cavatina, Big Sis, whatever... it just was not meant to be... (* 10.14 accepts but imposes a monthly “complaint”, a “penalty” which I reject)

Tex-Edit Plus has always been one of my most important apps, so I’ve been concerned about the warnings I’m getting about the upcoming Catalina upgrade. I asked the developer if an update is in the works, and he told me on 2019-08-21 that currently, "I have no plans to move TEP out of the 32-bit niche."

It's all been said before. A wonderful, stable, dependable program. Just the "sort ascending/descending" tool is worth the price of admission. And now it's free? Almost criminal.
